Model Designing Event

Problem Statement

Prepare a working or a non-working mechanism/model related to chemical industry.

RULES

1. Presentation regarding the model has to be prepared.
2. Participant(s) should mail the abstract details regarding the model and a photo of the model(if possible) to chemx4footprints@gmail.com before 11th of March,2021
3. Presentation will be done via Google meet/zoom/Microsoft teams and the link for the same will be mailed to participant(s) before event.
4. Model should be related to Process industry only.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. Presentation is compulsory.
2. Abstract should be of 300-400 words in Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF format.
3. Total time allotted for the presentation will be 15 minutes. 10 minutes for presentation and showing the mechanism involved and 5 minutes for judges' questions.
4. It should be clearly mentioned in the abstract that whether the model is working or non-working.
5. Teams should have a copy of presentation along with them during the event.
6. You have to mail the abstract to chemx4footprints@gmail.com by 11th March, 2021
7. The equipment should match all the specifications mentioned in the abstract as this sheet will be given to the judges during the presentation.

ROUNDS

1. Event consists of a single round wherein the participants have to present their model in front of the judge.
2. In case of a working model, the demonstration for the same has to be given.
3. Participants will have to face some questions from the judge regarding their model.

JUDGING CRITERIA

1. Innovativeness
2. Content of the presentation and concepts used
3. Economic design
4. Efficiency of the model (if working)
5. Feasibility

ABSTRACT

The abstract should contain the following:
1. Name of the event
2. Team ID
3. Name(s) of the participant(s)
4. College
5. Year of study
6. Name of the equipment
7. Photograph of the equipment clearly showing the mechanisms used
8. Specify clearly whether your equipment is working or non-working
9. Abstract Specifications: Specify the dimensions clearly in the format of L cm x B cm x H cm. Describe the mechanism used in brief.

PRESENTATION DETAILS

1. Specify the dimensions clearly in the format of L cm x B cm x H cm. Describe the mechanism used in brief.
2. Font: Times New Roman, Size 12 with 1.5" line spacing being mandatory.
3. Presentation will be done on google meet/zoom/Microsoft teams and the link for the same will be mailed to participants before the event.
NOTE : Participants will also get the participation certificate, if and only if the participant be present during the event.
